Million Sails magazine came about in order to more widely publicise the incredible stories of the Falun Dafa practitioners in China who daily risk imprisonment and torture in order to tell ordinary Chinese citizens the truth about Falun Dafa (also called Falun Gong) and the persecution by the Chinese Communist Party.  Falun Dafa is good,  they tell people their stories of improved health, peace of mind, displaying the kind and tolerant attitude resulting from this powerful spiritual practice. Although the stories appear frequently on the Clear Wisdom and Ming Hui web sites, they are often overshadowed by the grim reports about the persecution.

Our emphasis is here is on Falun Dafa disciples triumphing over the evil forces, healing stories, and other stories reflecting the manifestation of Truth, Compassion and Forbearance in our visible world. In a nutshell, we are here to tell the truth about Falun Dafa - that despite all human odds, it is victorious every day, all across China, all around the world, and that the Fa does truly illuminate and rectify everything, everywhere.

Along with articles on tradional Chinese culture,  we hope to spotlight those anonymous practitioners who confound the Chinese government daily by hanging banners, fearlessly talking to people face to face, broadcasting Falun Dafa radio through concealed loud speakers, distributing leaflets and CD ROM discs, tacking up posters and flyers, and most astounding of all, by just walking out of police stations and jails after being arrested. We publish stories of the practitioners who continue to tell the truth about the persecution by the Chinese government - stories that have disappeared from mainstream media reports as the Chinese government tightens controls over major media worldwide.
